Product Overview #

RG-RSR77-XA series core all-service routers are the next-generation high-end distributed routers launched by Ruijie Networks to meet the needs of enterprise network cloud architecture and cloud services through independent innovation.

Based on Ruijie’s self-developed RGOS 12.X operating system, these routers deliver high performance, reliability, and security for multi-service core routing. The RG-RSR77-XA series supports smooth upgrades and expansion of devices, providing robust support for current network business needs while leaving ample redundancy for the development of new services over the next 5-10 years.

The series features physically separated routing engines, switching network boards, and service cards, implementing three-plane separation of management, control, and data forwarding on a high-performance multi-core platform and distributed architecture. The RG-RSR77-XA series adopts dual data planes to enhance performance and ensure uninterrupted operation of services.

With advantages such as high availability, high performance, multi-service capabilities, and high security, the RG-RSR77-XA series supports enterprise business operations and network construction, effectively increasing network value and reducing network construction costs. Built on an elastic and scalable architecture, the RG-RSR77-XA series can improve performance by adding service cards, achieving load balancing at the card level within the chassis.

Based on Ruijie’s self-owned intellectual property in RGOS 12.X, the RG-RSR77-XA series fully inherits the multi-service characteristics of the RG-RSR77-X series. It supports high-speed forwarding technologies such as VCPU and REF, continuously enhancing multi-service concurrent processing capabilities. The distributed service line cards support various interfaces and integrate full-service features, organically combining technologies like NAT, IPFIX, IPv6, BGP, IPSec, MPLS VPN, QoS, and multicast.

The RG-RSR77-XA series includes two product models: RG-RSR77XA-08 and RG-RSR77XA-03. It is primarily used in government, finance, telecommunications, education, and large and medium-sized enterprise networks for wide area core and aggregation nodes, large campus network exits, and various data center edge aggregations. It can be integrated with the RSR30-XA and RSR20-X1 series routers to achieve a one-stop delivery of overall WAN solutions.
