ASR 9010 and ASR 9006 Chassis PIDs

The latest generation chassis PIDs recommended for ordering are ASR-9010-SYS and ASR-9006-SYS. Older generation chassis PIDs (ASR-9010-AC-V2, ASR-9010-DC-V2, ASR-9006-AC-V2, and ASR-9006-DC-V2) are also listed but their use is not recommended for new orders.

Note: Spare chassis include configurable options for PEM and power fillers, but not power supplies and fans.

Configurable Business Models

The ASR 9010 and ASR 9006 chassis can be configured with one of two business models: Flexible Consumption Model (FCM) or Traditional Model (aka BAU). One business model must be selected before chassis configuration. These PIDs are for tracking purposes.

Depending on the selected model, associated line cards and software will be configured accordingly (FCM or Traditional).

IOS-XR Software PIDs

For Traditional Model Configurations (A9K-TRADITIONAL):

The ASR 9010 and ASR 9006 chassis support 64-bit IOS-XR software with the current shipping RSPs (RSP5/RSP5X). Older RSPs (RSP880/RSP880-LT) that supported 32-bit IOS-XR software are now End of Sale.

Customers may need to download the latest image from CCO once available.

For Flexible Consumption Model (FCM) Configurations (A9K-FCM):

32-bit XR is not supported with the FCM Model. The following PIDs are for FCM tracking and have a GPL of $0.

ASR 9010 System Hardware Ordering

This section focuses on configuring the latest ASR-9010-SYS chassis.

ASR 9010 Chassis Power and Cooling Compatibility

Mixed power supplies are not supported. The ASR-9010-SYS is the latest generation shipping chassis and is recommended for ordering.

The PEMs for the DC/DC V2 and AC/AC-V2 chassis are the same.

ASR-9010-SYS Router System Common PIDs

**Available with IOS-XR 7.6.2, 7.8.1 release (November 2022). IOS-XR 7.7.x release is not supported with A9K-RSP5-X.

ASR 9010 Router System Accessory Option PIDs

Certain filler PIDs (A9K-RSP-FILR, A9K-LC-FILR-V2, A9K-PEM-V2-FILR, A9K-PEM-ACV3-FILR) and the ASR-9010-FILTER are automatically included with the chassis as required. Spares can be purchased separately.

ASR 9006 System Hardware Ordering

This section focuses on configuring the latest ASR-9006-SYS chassis.

ASR 9006 Chassis Power and Cooling Compatibility Matrix

Mixed Power supplies are not supported. The ASR-9006-SYS is the latest generation shipping chassis and is recommended for ordering.

The PEMs associated with the DC/DC V2 and AC/AC-V2 chassis are the same.

ASR-9006-SYS Router System Common PIDs

**Available with IOS-XR 7.6.2, 7.8.1 release (November 2022). IOS-XR 7.7.x release is not supported with A9K-RSP5-X.

ASR 9006 Router System Accessory Option PIDs

Certain filler PIDs (A9K-RSP-FILR, A9K-LC-FILR-V2, A9K-PEM-V2-FILR) are automatically included with the chassis as required. The ASR-9006-FILTER is automatically shipped, and spares can be purchased separately.

Note: 19” Rackmount brackets are shipped attached to the ASR 9006 chassis by default. ASR 9006 is not supported on 23” racks, but a 23” rack mount extension bracket can be purchased from suppliers.

ASR 9010 and ASR 9006 AC Power Cables

Various AC power cable options are available, including an ECO friendly option with no power cable shipped. Spare power cables can be ordered with a “=” at the end of the PID and are available at a non-$0 price.
