Description
CloudEngine 9800 series switches are high-performance 100G Ethernet switches designed for data center networks, featuring high-density 100 GE ports and low latency. Compatible with a range of other CloudEngine series switches (CE 16800, 12800, 8800, 6800, and 5800), the CloudEngine 9800 series can be used to build an elastic, virtualized, high-quality fabric that meets the demanding requirements of cloud-computing data centers. Using an advanced hardware structure, the switches provide high-density 100 GE/40 GE ports to support various data center features, and can function as core or aggregation switches on data center networks.

Downlink Service interface | The device does not have fixed ports and provides four card slots. Currently, the device supports the following cards: CE98-D32CQ: 32 x 100GE QSFP28 (100GE ports can be used as 40GE ports and cannot be split into 4 x 25GE and 4 x 10GE ports.) CE98-D8DQ: 8 x 400GE QSFP-DD (In V200R021C00, such ports can only work at 400 Gbit/s, cannot be used as 200GE, 100GE, or 40GE ports, and cannot be split. Specifically, they do not support the following split modes: 4 x 100GE, 2 x 200GE, 2 x 100GE, 2 x 40GE, 8 x 50GE, 8 x 25GE, 8 x 10GE, 4 x 50GE, 4 x 25GE, and 4 x 10GE. Auto-negotiation of 400GE copper cables is not supported and such cables can be used only for peer-link. In V200R021C10, such a 400GE port can be dynamically split into 2 x 200GE ports. Currently, only 2 x 200GE 5 m AOCs and 2.5 m copper cables are supported. By default, negotiation is disabled and cannot be enabled for copper cables.
