The HPE Storage Fibre Channel Switch B-Series SN3600B delivers market-leading 32Gb Fibre Channel technology and features to meet the demands of hyperscale virtualisation, larger cloud infrastructures and growing all-flash storage environments. It offers high-density building blocks for increased scalability and is designed to support the growth of small to large enterprise infrastructures, demanding workloads and data centre consolidation. It is designed for maximum economics and flexibility, performance and ease of use.
The HPE Storage Fibre Channel Switch B-Series SN3600B is an affordable entry-level 8-24 port 32Gb Fibre Channel switch that doesn’t compromise on 32Gb capabilities, offering 24 x 32 Gigabit per second (Gbps) SFP+ ports in a 1U form factor. You can start with as few as 8 ports and choose 16Gb FC or 32Gb FC fibre to meet your budget. For low-cost deployments, it comes preconfigured with eight shortwave 16Gb SFP+ for customers transitioning to next-generation IT technologies. Each of the twenty-four (24) SFP+ ports supports 4, 8, 16, and 32 Gbps Fibre Channel speeds. The HPE Storage Fibre Channel Switch B-Series SN3600B is designed to support the SAN needs of small and medium workgroups, as well as customers requiring enterprise SAN switching capabilities. The HPE Storage Fibre Channel Switch B-Series SN3600B has the industry’s highest FC port density in a slim 1U height, enabling the creation of very dense fabrics in relatively small spaces to meet tighter budgets.
With its flexible ports-on-demand (PoD) capabilities, the HPE Storage Fibre Channel Switch B-Series SN3600B delivers excellent overall value as the foundation of a SAN and can grow with an organisation’s SAN needs. Even as an entry-level switch, the HPE Storage Fibre Channel Switch B-Series SN3600B offers ease of operation because it can be configured in just three steps. The switch provides excellent SAN management and SAN health tools through HPE PowerPack + software for optimal SAN health, and supports HPE Smart SAN 3PAR all-flash fabric deployments (SAN partitioning) centrally from the array in just a few mouse clicks. It also delivers high IOPs, high bandwidth and low latency with flash-ready performance and always-on reliability, while providing the seamless interoperability and ease-of-use benefits found only in HPE’s B-Series product line.
