HPE Storage Switch M-series SN2010M with NVIDIA Cumulus® Linux
The HPE M Series with NVIDIA Cumulus® Linux Series Ethernet Switches meets the complex networking needs, growth, and expansion of today’s data centres, and is ideally suited for top-of-rack (TOR) deployments, as well as for virtualised environments, hyper-converged infrastructures, and storage deployments. HPE M Series Ethernet switches give you the right amount of network bandwidth and deliver consistent, zero-packet-loss performance for high-performance and storage workloads.
The HPE Storage Switch M-Series SN2010M with NVIDIA Cumulus? Linux is based on the first generation of NVIDIA SpectrumTM switches and is built for data centre Leaf/ToR applications. The half-width 1U SN2010M offers maximum flexibility, providing port speeds from 1GbE to 100GbE and port density for highly available full rack connectivity with any server. In addition to advanced features, the SN2010M offers a fully shared 16MB packet buffer on-chip and flexible port usage. The uplink ports allow multiple blocking ratios to meet any application requirement. The HPE Storage Switch M Series SN2010M is ideally suited for building cloud-scale Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks. The HPE Storage Switch M Series SN2010M platform delivers high performance, consistent low latency, and support for advanced software-defined networking capabilities, making it ideal for web-scale IT, cloud, hyperconverged storage, and data analytics applications.

The HPE Storage Switch M-Series SN2010M provides a high-density, side-by-side 1/10/25/100GbE switching solution that scales up to 34 ports per switch over QSFP28 branch cables, with up to 16 additional 1/10/25Gbs ports to meet the growing demands of today’s storage, database, and data centre environments in a single rack unit (1RU). and data centre environments today in a single rack unit (1RU). The HPE Storage Switch M-Series SN2010M is uniquely designed for maximum rack performance. The design allows two switches to be placed side-by-side in a single 1RU slot in a 19″ rack, providing high availability for hosts. Each SN2010M is equipped with 18 SFP28/SFP+ slots and 4 QSFP28/QSFP+ slots, with one switch achieving 1.7Tb/s capacity and 1.26Bpps when running 18 25GbE ports and 4 100GbE ports, and 3.4Tb/s and 2.52Bpps when deployed side-by-side in a 1 RU space. and 2.52Bpps.
HPE Storage Switches M Series SN2010M Ethernet switches are based on high-performance Spectrum-1 ASICs that support 25GbE NRZ coding and are well suited for top-of-rack leaf and fixed configurations with the following features:
- Ethernet port speeds from 1Gbps to 100Gbps
- 4 100/40GbE QSFP28 ports and 18×1/10/25GbE SFP28 ports
– All 4 QSFP28 ports support split x4 or x2 mode (4×4=16 breakout ports maximum)
- 16MB of fully-shared packet buffering
- Optional per port or global store-and-forward switching for noisy fabric error containment
- Feature-rich layer 2 and layer 3 forwarding
- Ultra-low latency with true cut through performance, Zero packet loss performance with NVMe TCP and RoCEV2 RDMA, DCBX, PFC, ECN support
